We are building a telescope in the middle of the Namibian desert.
Exploring the universe from Namibia is no longer a vision but will soon become a reality. Our millimetre-wave telescope, the AMT, will be located on or near the Gamsberg Mountain in the Namibian Khomas Highlands. Giving us an excellent view of the black hole in our Milky Way, it will form a new essential node in the Event Horizon Telescope network.
On the road with our portable universe
To spark enthusiasm for astronomy among Namibian youth, we travel with our AMT Mobile Planetarium to schools across Namibia, providing learners and teachers with an unforgettable scientific experience. Our mobile planetarium is an inflatable dome that brings the universe right there to you.
